Performing the Clockwise Loop

In this video with Rob Stanger you can see how the club moves in a clockwise loop through the backswing, transition and starting the downswing.

This motion really helps you get the club so that is can come into the ball with a shallow angle of attack and a slight inside out swing.

In his lessons Rob refers to the “hinge the wrists” action. Focus on a takeaway where the body rotation moves the club and not arm lifting or arm and wrist motion. Then feel like you start to hinge the wrists about when the shaft is parallel to the ground you are executing a clockwise loop.

As is often true in golf feel is not necessarily real. It may feel like a massive loop but when you look on video is will likely look like what you see in this video.
